Spring Break Ending

Well this Sunday offically ends Spring Break in Oregon and what a crazy week it has been. Snow on the beach and a foot of snow almost in the hills around me. Guess father winter just was not ready to give up yet. Well the Contest in my store will be ending and there is a few more days left to get that crazy guess in. So head to http://www.franklyitskuteproductions.com/click on contests and send me your wildest guess, just have a little fun after all there is no correct answer! I am just looking for that fun wild guess...

As we were driving around its still amazes me the wind storm we had here a while back! We had winds 120 miles and hour for 2 days straight. While driving the devastion reminds me of someone having a bad fit! As if someone walked through waving their arms around and breaking some trees off at the tops as if they were only match box matches and if that were not enough as if they kick over trees by the roots. It's really something to see how mother nature can be....

This was some of those trees that were kicked over by the wind storm and some of the tops were broken right off.

The next picture is where lots and lots of woods were but now its entirely gone...

I think this is one of the worst wind storms I have seen since moving here to the Oregon coast in 1984.

Now onto Spring Break and SNOW.....

An Easy way to make a quick Shepard's Pie

This recipe is very easy and you can add what you like the most....
I will either use a left over roast, be sure to slice it up

Or I like canned roast beef and I will use at least 2 cans.
throw in mixed veggies of your choice..
sometimes I throw green beans, peas, chopped carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms (yummy)
You can buy mixed frozen veggies and toss them and the meat into a greased baking dish or a large cast iron frying pan as I have done. In the picture below is a slice of the Shepard's pie.
Use 2 small cans of beef gravy and about 1/2 cup water mix the veggies, meat all together in a large bowl add the water and gravy mix more, pour into your greased frying pan or baking dish.

Now in another mixing bowl add 2 packets of instant mashed potatoes. What is so fun about this is you can use a variety of different kinds of instant mashed potatoes, I happen to like the instant potatoes that come in single packets.
Mix up the 2 packets just as the directions say.... add
the milk and hot water, butter into your mixing bowl. Mix now spread the potatoes over the beef mixture. Add a slice of butter to the top and bake in the over until the potatoes start to brown just a little. Bake 350 for 20-30 min depending on your oven.

This is wonderful on a cold day! it will warm you right up! The CONTEST is still going on in my store Frankly its kute productions, be sure to click on it and enter and take a wild guess you could win!! http://www.franklyitskuteproductions.com/

A whril wind of happenings...

Howdy! everyone its been a while and I am sorry about that. This winter was quite rough on my health this year. I have been fighting pneumonia just about all winter! This last bout was my fourth time in getting it. But hopefully Spring is near and I am now feeling much better. I hope everyone had a wonderful EASTER!
Now it's Spring break here in Oregon! my two teens have an entire week off.

I did just finish a 16 inch dog called Pawinston, She is a floppy dog filled with fiber fill and she is made with some really cute cotton fabric. I have also added some blue safety eyes. I love this pattern because you can do so much with it. I have designed cats, dogs, rabbits etc. Out of this one single pattern. There is no limit to creating.

I have also finished another rag rug and will be adding it to the store in the next few days so be sure to check out my store.
There is also a goofy CONTEST going on at www.franklyitskuteproductions.com Take your best guess to how many cartoon jelly beans you can count!
Check out what you might win!
Send me a email with your best guess! Contest ends April 4th
Coming next a quick idea for a yummy dinner!
