Some New Rag Cloth Dolls I am Busy Working Away On for My Etsy store

A couple of weeks back I decided that I need to get busy again and so I have been working on some dolls as usual.  The first doll is going to be a 25 inch doll and I have used Onsaburg for the body of the doll and filled her with fiber fill but have also weighted her bottom with plastic pellets.  The doll is also stained with a walnut stain and baked in my oven at 200 degrees for about 25 min.  I have painted her facial features with oil based acrylics and her shoes, socks are painted with acrylics.  The hair is a blue wool yarn that I have separated and sewn into the head of the doll using quilting thread, the next step is finishing the outfit and getting her into my store.
The second rag cloth doll is 18 inches and is made from muslin, a darker muslin and stained.  She has been stained with instant coffee, vanilla and cinnamon, the nose and mouth are painted with  acrylic paints.  The eyes are black buttons that I have sewn into the head and the hair is an red acrylic yarn also sewn into the head.
The last doll I knows looks very familiar to you all, yes... it's Katty again, this time she is made like the original, its nice I have been getting lots of requests for this doll and I will do up special orders for this doll in my Etsy store
This morning I am finishing up the dolls and will have them completed I have been working on other things, some painted plates but I will share them later on.  I have decided again not to do the contest giveaway I will later on, there have been a few more trials and I am getting through them with lots a faith in my Heavenly Father.  Things will get better and when they do I will be sure to have my next giveaway!  So I hope you all will hang in there with me and I will hang in there with you!

A Small Delay in the Giveaway Contest

I truly sorry that I have not picked a winner but I will, there have been some upsets in my life right now first was my mom being admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure.  The second is I lost Oreocookies! My heart is just really breaking now.   I lost her Friday she had congestive heart failure and was on medication.  At first she did really well and came out but it seemed the medication quit working or was not strong enough so the vet doubled all medications and that work for a bit.  I notice in the past few weeks she began loosing her hair and coat was not looking good.  Friday night she began coughing really hard and panting I have tell all I never ever want to see another animal suffer from congestive heart failure she suffered and I could seem to make her comfortable!
She was so special to me! its only been a year and half since I lost polar bear now Oreo is gone, she was my best friend I love her so very much!  Lately things have just been spinning out of control my mom becoming so ill losing Oreo t and a few more things have happened and I just honesty don't feel like mentioning right now I am sorry about the giveaway! I will pick a winner on the 28th of Feb and post it!  I actually feel so lost without my Oreocookies.  I mom is doing a little better I am hoping they let her come home on Sunday I love her lots I think I bare it right now to lose her too!
I hurt and miss Oreo so much! there will never another dog quite like her!  I know through the teaching of the chruch will are never given more than we can bare but with all things that are happening right I just find so hard to pick my self up and dust off, I think should not written because on top it I have really bad cold and so I letting my emotions do the talking.  I love you so Oreocookies.

I had another order for this one cute primitive rag doll and just had to share because I loved the fabric I used from a summer dress I had laying around!  This one is made with muslin for the body and a pink paisley fabric.  Instead of using bows I used button this time and thought it made her even more cute!
what I doing here is taking a margin container and turning it into Easter decor for around the home.  This is a no sew project that I will share late on with you all on how to make it

20 inch Rag Doll Meet Winnie Blue Skies

Hello to everyone! I have been busy working on a few projects and Winnie is one of them.  I took one of my bear patterns and converted it into a 20 inch rag cloth doll.  I used Osnaburg fabric for the body and stained it   lightly with my super sauce of coffee, cinnamon and vanilla.  I then created my own facial features and painted them in using oil based acrylics  The hair is a cotton/ wool blend yarn of various browns, reds in color and I have hand sew the yarn into the doll's head using a heavy quilting thread.  The dress was not stained and is a light weight cotton and I designed the pattern for the dress.  The shoes are a black felt from an old coat and there is a single bow tied in her hair.  I had a lot of fun changing the pattern from a bear into a doll it was simple to do and I think the doll Winnie Blue Skies came out very cute!
